A Café with Soul, Stories & Second Living Room Vibes

The Book Cafe first began as part of the MPH Bookshop at Stamford Road, before finding its own home at Martin Road in September 2000. What started as a quiet corner for book lovers has since grown into a cozy hideaway near Robertson Quay — a café where time slows down and regulars feel like family.

Today, we're proud to be a family-owned café that has stood the test of time. Our space has evolved into a second living room for many — a place to:

• Browse books, magazines, and the web

• Chill on comfy leather sofas and lounge chairs

• Eat familiar comfort food that always hits the spot

• Drink coffee, tea, and house-made thirst quenchers
